My complaint is about the disregard my family hve towards my personal belongings. My Daughter of 25 years still lives at home and until now has not been paying for her keep ( I am to make her pay from now on, Jan 2007!) She is very liberal with her use of commodities like the washing machine and tumble drier, and manages to wreck every new iron I buy turning it sticky black so that it is unusable, Even when I hide new ones away and give her the old one, she somehow manages to find my hiding places and ruin the new one! More than this, she uses everything of mine.. My toiletries, expensive bath foams etc. My 13 year old son is even worse, as soon as I buy myself something new, he covets it as if it is his perogative. A laptop that I bought on ebay for three hundred and fifty pounds, has been coveted by him since the day I got it, and I only got it in order to have a computer that was for my own private use! I recently bought a small (top of the range) digital camera, today I got it out and left it in the box on the table, this evening he had it upstairs and when I got annoyed and asked him for it back he got irritated and rude. As if this isn't bad enough, I've not had the instructions for it since the day I first got it, I think it is because he has lost them in the jungle he calls his bedroom, but he strongly denies this and so yet again I have have to shut up for the sake of keeping the peace. It's not as if I am mean, no, far from it, I am exceedingly generous. It's not as if I am a person that lets everyone walk over me either, no, I am very hot headed and shout loudly about the lack of regard for my belongings, but it has no effect!! My husband is also very good at using and losing everything that belongs to me..little things like my special old fashioned sharp scissors that belonged to my great grandmother,the new carving set I bought to carve the turkey has been taken from the drawer, my own special mouthwash (I have a gum disorder at the mo)no one is the culprit, but it's almost gone! My husband got me to pay for airline ticketson my credit card with the promise to pay me back.. ha ha, now he doesn't have the money! And so it goes. I am thinking of moving out. I have another son, nearly 41, he won't get a job and expects me to bail him out when he spends all of his benefit money in one go, as he did this Christmas ..(not on presents for me or the family, I might add) I am pissed off to put it midly. I have five kids, two of which do not cause me any agro, I have two special needs foster kids, and I work as a full time teacher despite having chronic arthritis and being a year past retirement age.
