DISPICABLE BEHAVIOR

My friend's boyfriend broke up with her last month and recently she's contacted him to say that she's been diagnosed with Cancer. He called me and was distraught and crying about her and told me that he feels guilty and will possibly get back together with her. This was the first I've heard of it! I immediately phoned my girlfriend and she told me she only said that so he would feel bad and take her back. How could she do this? It's not right. Now I feel stuck in the middle. I want to call Darren back and tell him the truth. I don't know what to do so I complained here.
