In early June I was approached by a sales rep and was shown I could save considerable money monthly by switching from Cable to Dish. I was told I could have virtually the same service for 1/3 less the cost, so I ordered. 2 days later the installation was done and as they were showing the remote use I asked where the HD stations were. I was told there were none and to get them I'd have to have a new installation, pay $50 for it and $25 more a month. I called to complain and inquire about a resolution - they offered none. 2 days after installation I received bill for 2 months service in advance - a sum per month almost equal to my cable charges, only missing much of the service. I then called customer service to have the service stopped. After 4 different attempts to find someone who spoke English and understood the issue, I finally got someone who then told me I had passed the 3-day timeframe and it would cost me $500 to remove the equipment and $350 in penalty fees. I told them I'd pay them nothing, that I had tried for 3 days to get the service stopped, and all I wanted to the equipment taken away. They refused any and everything unless I paid $500 cash. It is now more than a month later and they still refuse to do anything. Their local sales agent and that company's headquarters are hidden - so can't find them to take the equipment back, and can't communicate with their offices because they apparently do not exist in the phone book, on the web or elsewhere. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this outfit - they are unethical, unreasonable, unprofessional; their business practices are fraudulent, and there is NO customer service, much less real service. They will never get money from me and I will take this to my grave.
