Dish Network none working products

We got upgraded on our Dish. Thought everything was great until times when we were going to watch something neat, and our satelite failed. We called and they said We don't know what's wrong. The 33months after paying $300. our system was out dated and they charged us again $200 to upgrade. and once again it wasn't working properly. Why do we pay for things that don't work like we pay for? They can charge us interest but not refund lost time? Why I don't think this is fair.
