It was inevitable that I'd run into that older gentleman sooner or later, since he is a neighbor. It happened today while I was putting some paperwork in the glovebox of my car, and he arrived home at the same time. He did say, Hi, and I said 'Hey' back. He said, 'I'm glad you liked the flowers', but he didn't sound like he meant it', and I said, 'yes, thank you', end of story. I guess he finally got the hint. I gave a couple of the roses to a girl friend who's been bummed out about some things in her life, to cheer her up, so I think it all worked out for everyone, and this guy may learn that he has to actually treat a woman like a lady, if he wants a real lady, and not just say he's going to, and then say things like he did to me.
