I ordered a gas grill online from Home Depot on May 21, 2006. I have never seen it. They have doubled billed me, made adjustments to my account, made unauthorized charges, and still owe me money. I have called and emailed them countless times. Every time, I wind up getting a bunch of empty promises and no action. I have even written a letter to the President of the Company, and mailed, faxed and emailed it. They have never delivered the grill, and they have never contacted me, I always have to contact them. It is now almost November. I was originally ordering it for the summer outdoor season. The ironic part is that I could have bought one at their store already assembled and I only a few miles away. I made the mistake of looking at their website to see what selection they had before I went to make the purchase. Their website lured me into buying online because of a special offer. Additonally, because they kept jerking me around about its coming anytime, I never bought one or had a grill for the entire summer. Now, to add insult to injury, I get calls from a national shipping company requesting that I call a number to arrange for my 120lb. package from Home Depot to be delivered. When I call, they tell me that it was an error, and that package had been returned to sender a month or two before. Then the delivery company will call again the next day with the same message saying that my package is ready. This is like a bad movie or prank TV Show. One night I waited on the phone for over an hour to get a online complaint department member who had the nerve to ask me what I really wanted. This really floored me and gave me cause for thought. To offer some appeasement, the online clerk offered me a $50 gift certificate, which, of course, never came. What do I want? That is a good question. The normal person would probably have said something stupid like, 'what I ordered.' Now, I think that I want more for the aggravation and waste of time.
