So I was at a new years party at a friends house with some 10 or so friends (I was 15 and we were all 15-17, it's not a big deal in the UK) . We had sort of split off into smaller groups at about 3am with the sober ones in one room sleeping, one couple in another room and the rest of us, ranging from "sober and laughing at the drunks" to pissed, in the main room. There were 3 girls (including me) and 4 guys. We were talking till about 6 by which point two of us (one girl and one guy) were asleep. The guys were pretty sober now and me and the other girl were still drunk. Anyway the conversation turned to masturbation ,for some weird reason which I cannot remember whatsoever, and someone mentioned how guys were so open about it and girls just didn't do it. Now you should probably know that a group of the girls there (me included) are VERY open when talking about sex to each other. Everyone knew everyone's kinks and masturbation was not a taboo topic. So my drunk brain seemed to think talking to a bunch of guys and girls, who were NOT in this "group", about masturbation was absolutely fine. Definitely socially acceptable... So I, hearing about how this girl and these guys (ONE OF WHOM I HAVE A HUGE CRUSH ON) thought female masturbation was something that existed only in porn, laughed and said most teenage girls did it even if they wouldn't admit it. Cue weirded out looks. The girl asked me if i did and i of course said yes and waited for my friends to back me up. It then dawned on me none of them were there (or at least awake). Very very awkward.... The conversation changed very abruptly and we went to sleep an hour or so later. No one mentioned it since and I don't think any of the guys think I remember saying it..... I hope it will stay that way. It still embarrasses and entertains me to think of that girls shocked face and the guys slightly turned on/terrified looks. However I will try not to repeat that next time i get pissed ...
