Why is it that in the dictionary stereotype is used to defind our american people? For example, this is the definition of black: opposite of white, dark-skinned people of Africa, dirty, evil, wicked, sad, black color or pigment. Why is it that black means everything that is bad or wrong? White is defind as having color of pure snow, light or pale color, pure, innocent, having light color skin, white pigment. Why is everything white is considered good? We call each other white and black people, but none of us really match the defintion in the dictionary. Black people are not really black. We come in all sorts of colors from light to dark skined. White people are not really white. Why do we allow the makers and the writers of the dictionary to print this sterotypes that divide us as a people.
