Screwed Over Twice..... Just wanted to let everyone know that the Kodak DX6490 Easy Share camera is a piece of crap. The joystick that controls the whole camera will go out within 90 days of purchase. I have a friend online that has the Kodak Easy Share Z712 model and his went out in about 6 weeks, so it is obvious Kodak has a problem with there digital camera joysticks. He was able to get his repaired though. Yes, he kept his receipt. If you don't hang on to your receipt (who really keeps receipts past a few weeks anyway) Kodak WILL NOT repair it. All they have to do is look at the serial number and the manufacture date on the camera to tell it was new, but they wouldn't do that. After 13 months of arguing with Kodak about this camera I finally decided to pay the repair fee myself and wouldnt you know it I got screwed again by the Repair shop. I sent the camera to United Camera and Binocular Repair in Bensenville, IL. near Chicago. I called them twice before sending the camera and both times was told the camera would only be $85.00 total to fix the camera. Sincerely, United Camera Customer Service 1062 Tower Lane Bensenville, IL 60106 You talk about a bait and switch job. This company is trying to pull off a total scam on me. Please do not fall for either of these to companies unethical work or customer service policies. I for one will spend a little time everday for the next 2 months telling anyone who will listen about these two companies practices. I have bought Kodak products for over 20 years and this camera was the very last purchase I will ever make from them. Thanks to anyone who reads this... Ndavis
