Date Rape Confession

Once I almost committed a date rape. My friends put me up to the idea. They said they had done it before and that I should try it. Only later did I know that they were lying. Well, I gave the girl the loaded drink but when she passed out, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. It was too big a step for me so I let her sleep on. It was at her place so I left before she woke. Strangely, we met a week later and started dating. The relationship lasted three years and we broke it off amicably. We are still friends but I never told her of my evil intent that first night we met. She’s a great girl and a good friend and I’m glad I didn’t go through with the rape.

Good for you. At the end of the day, rape is rape and wrong is wrong. There's nothing humorous about it at all and for your friends to brag about their bravado/lie is straight up B.S. You came out ahead with a great friend and a clean conscience. Live well!
