Dangerous Tires

I purchased a 2006 Ford F-150 and with less than 10,000 miles on it my tires began to fall apart. I took my truck into the dealership after having a tire blow out (wich is how I noticed the tread on the tires falling off.) The guy at the dealership said it was the road I was driving on not the tires. I said what the... I bought a truck, I'm not 4-wheel'n I'm driving on country roads that I have for years and out to the lake. It's a truck guy. Well long story short I had to go over his head and get Mgmnt involved in order to get the tires replaced. The guy said I no longer have the warranty package that I purchased above the warranty already given when I bought the truck. Does this not make sense to anyone else? Even the other people at the dealership thought the situation sounded like defective tires? Anyone have this situation happen to them? My concern is that this is really a safety issue.
