I have custody. Final divorce decree reads ; 'joint parental responsibility with the primary residence being at the mothers', visitation every other weekend with the father, and one day during off week, it's broken down specifically for holidays, giving him the same rights as I have. my ex and I are at the point where we work out our own stuff. I'm not so worried about it anymore because my son is older and wiser now. My ex does love to hold things over my head though. I make sure things are equal financially though. we do have to work together more than I'd like for visitation purposes, but that's the only way he has any control of me, and I'm trying to let that go also. I wonder if I'm being a little selfish sometimes, but I have to be in this case. My ex has truly worn me down through my son. I just don't get why they won't allow your kids to testify? What reason did they give you to justify this? My ex was already prepping my son for court 'just in case', and my son tried to manipulate me with that at one time. I challenged him with it. He wants to move back in, but I'm afraid he's being sucked into his father's problems. My son told me he had to stay there because his dad needed me, and I didn't.
