What is up with clerks or cashiers who can look you in the eye and not say a word to you as they check you out. Stone-faced they state the amount you owe. Don't they understand without customers they would not be employed. I guess the only way to make a difference is to not return to the business. Although you wonder, does that really make a difference because it can be the neighborhood convenience store that is around the corner from where you live and is convenient to you.
