
Crap Broadband service from Tiscali

Tiscali are proving themselves to be the worst possible business for customer service (and I'm comparing them to BT). They cut off my interent service for broadband which is under contract with them. They didn't warn me of the cut off neither did they apologise for doing so when I told them. It is now over six weeks since they terminated my service and they have continued to take my monthly direct debit and have failed to call me now on four occassions when they have promised to let me know what is going on and what they are doing to rectify the situation. Worse - they have two departments, technical (based in India) and customer service (based in Scotland). Neither department can admit to talking to the other and TIscali have a policy of never calling a customer no matter what. It takes on average ten minutes just to get through their automatic phone service and on acknowledgement of your call they will do absolutely nothing and they will refuse to give out a contact name or mangars name in order to sort it out. I have written to the head of customer services and got a reply three weeks later which didn't answer my questions or offer a solution. I must have tried to call the business over ten times now wasting at least two hours of my life only to be met with an understaffed badly managed bunch of incompetent people. They simply don't staff up their business and they simply aren't interested once they've got you on a contract. If you are daft enough to sign up to them - good luck and I hope for your sake nothing goes wrong.
