Cranberry Sauce

After an eye operation a few weeks ago, I had temporarily lost my ability to see color. During this period, I was asked by a friend to make my famous cranberry sauce for a party she was having. However, I had also been growing a pea plant in my kitchen. I was extremely fond of this plant, so much so that I had named all the peas it had yielded, and felt that they had true personality and life to them each, as individuals. I was so thankful for the ability to bring this new life into the world. However, as I have said, I had temporarily lost my ability to see color, and I got my precious peas confused with cranberries and murdered them all! I hope I can be forgiven by their little pea-sized souls. I'm sorry, my darlings.
