This is an event that happened to me last weekend, and it was humiliating to me, but it's something I need to get off my chest. I'm a 21 year old college student, and recently, I got into a financial bind. I had a few unexpected expenses come up that I just didn't have the money to pay for and I was getting desperate. I have a full time job at the campus coffee shop, and I work as many shifts as my class and study schedule allowed, but it still wasn't enough. So, early last week, I came up with an idea that in retrospect, was incredibly stupid, but it seemed like the best thing to do at the time...I decided that at the end of my shift (which was usually when the coffee shop closed for the night, since I generally worked evenings after my classes were over, and was working the late shift last week during final exams) I would start taking extra money out of the cash register...just a little at a time, and I did plan on putting it back once I got back on my financial feet again. So, the first night, right as I was closing up, I took $20.00 out of the register and put it in my purse. I usually work 5 nights a week, so I figured if I got $20.00 every night, or $100.00 a week, I would be able to just about make it as far as catching up with my bills. My plan worked for the first several nights, but a few days after I started doing it, I got into big time trouble. Right at closing time, a male employee of the coffee shop who I only saw occasionally and didn't really know very well, came in unexpectedly. I was a bit nervous, and asked him what he was doing there at that time of night. He smiled and told me there was something he wanted to show me. He took out his cell phone and proceeded to show me a perfectly clear and unmistakable picture of me taking the money out of the register. He said he suspected someone was stealing when the register was out of balance by the same amount three mornings in a row, and since he knew I closed up, he suspected it was me doing it. He told me he had just taken the picture a couple minutes ago, and because I was focusing so intently on doing what I was doing, I hadn't even noticed. I was literally shaking in fear and on the verge of tears as I looked at his smug face and begged him not to go the police. I told him I would probably be kicked out of school and arrested for stealing. He told me he wouldn't go to the police...but only if I agreed to have sex with him. I stammered that I had a boyfriend and that I had never been with any other man. He said, too bad...either you fuck me or I go to the cops...your choice. I knew I didn't really have a choice, so I agreed to give him what he wanted. We went to his apartment, where after making me undress, he ordered me to perform oral sex on him, and then he proceeded to have vaginal intercourse with me. At least he used protection. When he was finished, he told me that since he is such a nice guy, he was deleting the photo from his phone. He drove me back to my dorm, and said see you around. I went into my dorm and took a long hot shower went to bed, and cried myself to sleep. I haven't told my boyfriend what happened, but I'm not stealing any more money from the coffee shop.
