Holding on to conflict is such an immanent task. I can never succeed at anything because to do so would be to lose my struggle, the struggle that keeps me going. For the same reason, I cannot give up what aches me, for then I'd be in the wildnerness. Grown ups do not behave this way. Children and lesser men do.
