Completely and utterly replaced

I am a freshman in college, and up until recently, everything was going really well. I had perfect grades, great friends, and loved my school and activities. I met my close group of friends the very first week of school, and we have been inseparable ever since. At semester break, one of my friends got a new roommate, and she easily fit into our group. I love her, but she is literally taking my place in every way. One of my friends that I was closest too, now favors her. And a close upperclassmen friend of ours now considers the new girl her "baby", which is what she used to call me. I feel left out and unloved, which may be slightly dramatic, but no one ever seems to notice me any more. I just want to feel loved and needed.

I agree with the previous comment. True friends cannot be replaced. If it was real, than this girl wouldn't have been able to fade you out. In college, friendships are easy come, easy go. People leave your life just as effortlessly as they come into it. You shouldn't stress out about it, even though it is understable to be upset. If these people are valuable to you, then try harder to make them remember that you not only exist, but you care about them as well. But in my opinion, I think you should cut your losses and move on.
