When are we as a nation going to get serious about saving the fuel we need to maintain our lifestyle? Americans are a nation of travelers,we came to this land as explorers looking for a place to live and this has shaped this country into the wide open landscape we call home. This is also the reason we complain when higher fuel prices cause us to change travel plans. The thought of being told, even indirectly,by a gas pump that we can't drive to see Uncle Bob this year is an outrage. It's our own fault,we continue to buy the largest vehicle our monthly payment can support (thats another topic) because the guy down the street who still has a well paying job just bought a new one ton pickup and now we just have to have a Hemi. Now that we have this wonderful new behemoth we have to let everyone know.Let's drive the new truck to the store to buy a quart of milk.Oops,I forgot to buy bread,oh well lets go back, someone else will see my new truck.Ok,now it's time to pick up the kids from school.I hope you get the idea. Untill we start saving gas by buying less, absolutly no one will take us seriously! How much more will gasoline have to climb before we take some responsibility for the high prices? How high do they have to go before we say 'enough is enough'???
