Compassion

People aren't compassionate anymore. I've posted here under different names according to what I was responding to & according to what I have to say. There's nothing wrong with that, It think. It helps me to keep focusses. Yet here I digress! :S Anyway, compassion is something that is sorely lacking today. Yes, there are some people who are kind & loving & help where they can, but, overall, people don't care & people don't want to go out of their way for others. What really gets me is how people can care for anyone they really care about, which is natural & completely understandable. What about others, though? Don't they deserve to be cared for & loved & treated with kindness? There's a lot in this world that I don't agree with because of my beliefs, but that doesn't mean that it's going to stop me from giving someone something to eat or something healthy to drink if someone asks me for it. No, I won't give money to anyone who comes up to me on the street & asks for it, but if I have food or someone non-alcoholic to drink, I will give it to them. The sick, no matter who they are, need our help & people often forget about that. People who're abused need our help & people who can't help themselves for whatever reason need us to help them. There are many who can't speak for themselves for whatever reason. Speak up for them & help them. No, I'm not perfect & I don't always do what I want to help, but I do help if I'm able & I encourage all to do so.
