7-26-06: Left 2001 Dodge Durango in the possession of Brighton Collision for collision repairs. Estimated repairs @ 6days. Total damage $3878.87. 8-04-06: Called Brighton Collision and they told us car was being painted & it would be ready Monday 8-7-06. 8-07-06: Car not done still when we called, although they said it was being painted on Friday. 8-08-06: They now have had car 13 days. Spoke to the owner Paul Crossley & he said the car was not done yet. Paul Crossley told us to go to Conely Rent A Car he would pay for rental expense since it was taking so long and he had an account there. 8-09-06: Went to Conely to get the rental car per Brighton Collision. A few days after getting the rental car we continually called to check the status on our car and no one knew anything and the owner Paul was never in to speak to nor did he return our calls. 9-7-06: FINALLY, we receive the call that our car is done. IT TOOK 43 DAYS TO FIX!! When we inspected the vehicle at home the headlamp was loose & a black rubber piece stuck out of the hood. Immediately we called & spoke to Paul. He said to bring it in so he could look at it. He told us to bringb it in again & wait for it to be fixed right. We left the rental car with Brighton Collision & took our car home. 9-11-06: Took car back to be fixed properly . I visually checked the car in Brighton Collision's lot & it seemed OK. I got it home when I shut the hood the piece of rubber still stuck out. Around this time as well I received calls from Conely that Brighton Collision had never paid the rental car bill. I immediately called Brighton Collision and Paul told me he personally gave John Conely a check for $800. When I called Conely back it was indeed true. 9-13-06: Because of rear brakes squeaking & other issues, I took the car to Diamond Brake & Front End, they found among other things, the air conditioning condenser WAS NOT REPLACED, EVEN THOUGH THE INSURANCE COMPANY PAID THEM TO REPLACE IT. Not only did they fail to replace the A/C the first time they had the car, they failed to put the A/C condenser in again when they had the car in their shop the second time on 9-11-06. I immediately called my insurance company & Brighton Collision. My insurance company told me the only recourse I had was to take the car back AGAIN. Brighton Collision assured me they wanted to do whatever was necessary to make this right & again Brighton Collision told me to go get a rental car at their expense, this time from Enterprise Rent A Car. 9-14-06: Went to Enterprise to get a rental car per Brighton Collision. 9-15-06: At this point the insurance company had an appraiser come out to check out their work & because of a possible supplemental damage, which he found not auto related. He did note the shop would attach the headlamp. Brighton Collision called and said the car was ready. Went to Brighton Collision to drop off rental car & picked up our car. My husband looked at the headlamp in their lot & asked to see Paul since the headlamp was STILL NOT fixed right, Amanda said he was not in. After a shouting match with another employee & my husband, Amanda said Paul would order a new headlamp. All we wanted was the car to fixed right. 10/3/06: Received a call from Conely Rent A Car & they told me that the check Brighton Collision paid to Conely had bounced. Again I immediately called Paul & left a message for him to call. Paul did call saying how sorry he was & he'll get it taken care of. 10/10/06: Car rental bills for Conely & Enterprises still remain unpaid by Brighton Collision. 10/13/06: I called Brighton Collision & Amanda said the Enterprise bill was paid which of course was untrue, and she said the Conely would be paid today. It never was paid. Sent certified letter documenting every detail & gave them 48 hours after receipt of letter to pay or I would take this matter to court. 10/19/06: Filed with small claims since rental car bills remain unpaid & headlamp assembly still not fixed properly.
