My power company sucks!Paid IN FULL for Oct. Nov. 6 get mail and get a fucking disconnect notice but NO BILL. Come in to call the bastards and my power gets shut off while Im calling. What a bunch of sorry bastards!!!!! All I heard from them was ,..Sorry. They might as well have told me to shove it up my ass.And I cant switch because they have a monopoly on power service in the area.

I called on friday november 19,2011. I was informed i had a past due balance of 108.00. I was told to pay it before tuesday nov23,2011 or i would be disconnected. i paid it saturday. I called them monday morning they said the payment posted and i had a balance of 86.00 that had to be paid before tuesday to avoid disconnection....huh? When asked them where did this come from they couldnt give me a straight answer. She talked about some discount and other bullshit that didnt phase me. go fucking figure... unbelieveable

These assholes are hell bent on stealing your money. I have paid my account to a 0 balance multiple times this year. I pay my bill every month on the same day. Now everytime I go in to pay there is some type of additional fee. I tried to get these assholes to explain why my bill is different from the billed amount. This is the explanation: They say that when I pay my bill, it brings the balance to 0. They generate a new bill within 2 days of my payment. The new bill is due by the 20th, or some day close to the 20th. If I pay the bill by the due date, I get a discount. One day past rotating due date, my bill jumps 5 percent. When I complain about the late fee, they say its not a late fee, its a discount loss. They do this so they can avoid justification of late fees within such a short period of time. I went to Cobb EMC to attempt to straighten out the issue. I asked if I could pay the next bill with the current bill. They said it wasn't possible because a new bill had not been generated. I then asked if the gas and electric could be put on the same billing cycle. They said no. What company today lacks the capability to change a billing cycle? Basically I was told that there is no way to avoid the late fee, oops I mean discount loss, if I pay 1 time per month on the same day. WTF? I explained that all I was trying to do is get my bill straight so I could pay both once a month and avoid late fees. The 'billing manager' said well, look at it this way...you are not late, you just lose the discount. Look, dumbass, whatever you want to call it, but its a late fee. I guess Cobb EMC has to screw its customers so they can pay the legal fees that they are incurring for...you guessed it, screwing their customers. This is why monopolies should be illegal and enforcement should be strict. They can treat you however they want without repercussions. You suck ass Cobb EMC!
