Product safety: I opened a bag of frozen vegetables October 2. when i poured them into the kettle a chunk of wood about 2 inches long and 1/2 wide had been frozen in with the vegetables. I was horrified.Very shocked to say the least. I looked on the package to find a number of the mfg. to report this and there wasn't one. There was also no experation date. I found the phine number on the internet. I contacted Round's Corporate headquarters to tell them about my finding. They just asked me if I WOULD SEND IT TO THEM AND THEY WOULD GIVE ME A $5.00 GIFT COUPON. They seemed very calm to me almost as if they get these calls often. I told them I thought they might want to do a recall or get these frozen foods off the grocers shelf. I told them where and when it was purchased. They didn't have an answer as to why the vegetables didn't have an experation date. This is Saturday 10-14-06 reported this on 10-2-06 . I have not gotten a bag from them to send the bag and the wood back. Should I do more? Should I report this to some other agency? Is the batch of vegetables with wood (loads of extra fiber)still on the shelfs?
