Child Tax Credits Disaster

A four year old child could have come up with a better system. In fact, a chimpanzee could have done it better. What a f*cking disaster this system is. I tell them about a change in my circumstances, and they send me and my husband the same letter - without the changes updated! What's the point of that? Every year they assume that my income is the income I told them about five years ago for a year during which I was on maternity leave. So every year I have to call and get them to amend my salary - and some smug git says - 'well you won't qualify with that level of income.' I have four children and I live in a three bedroom semi for Christ's sake. I think the hamster that designed their computer system should be shot - actually it probably wasn't a hamster - more likely to have been a single cell organism.
