I was rear-ended in Sept. of 04 by a women who had Progreesive car insurance. My vehicle recieved some damage and was repaired okay. I needed treament from a Chiropractor (sic) and it took about 6 months to recover and also a MRI to let me know that damage to my spine had occured that was present before the accident because of my age but was aggrevated because of the accident. I hired an attorney to take care of the case and now 23 months after the accident the other persons insurance company (Progressive) will not pay for the appox. $7100 in medical bills but instead has made a final offer of $4500. How can they do this? Their client was cited, dr. bills and x-rays as well as a MRI took place, and yet they stand and say that is all they are gong to do about it. My attorney said that to take it to court is a risk because the courts tend to not award settlements when a chiropractor is involved. Why not? Are they not a medical Dr. who has the proper traing to take care of you? Bottom line is that Progressive Car Insurance in my opinion, just plan sucks and they should be put out of business for the way they treat pople. Thanks for my chance to vent cause with the system today , thats all you can do is complain...no one cares anymore unless you 'grease their palms'
