my son used his new abbey visa card the transaction went through so he thought there was enough money in his account WRONG the store he used has what they call a floor limit they will accept the charge which when it gets back to your bank will put you overdrawn and you get charged £30. He made 12 small transactions the lowest being 78p, which in total came to £23.45, and was charged £380.00 by his bank, but the bank fails to tell you that even though you are overdrawn you will still be able to purchase goods in certain stores, due to this floor limit. and after speaking to the bank myself they say they are under no obligation to inform their customers of this floor limit of up to £50 before any other transaction needs authorising by the bank. so i feel that people should be advised of this floor limit as i feel that the bank is taking money from peoples account fraudulantly.
