charged for not connecting

verizon wirless (or cell) charges even when not connected (soon as you push send )it cost me seven dollars to call hong kong for not to connect 2 out 3 times so the average call cost me 7 min use, just to hook up! compare to metro which cost me 10 Cent a min. I want every one to know verizon is not who they say they are over price and over rated period and i want my money back...steve
