Cat cruelty?

Here's my story, I found this poor kitten near a creek and he was almost dying, plenty of wounds, very thin and with all sorts of skin disease. I took the cat in and nurtured it to full health. All was fine and he got along well with my dog, then he became to comfortable and started jumping over tables and such. This pissed off my mom, so I tried to discipline the cat by some physical force, this led to the cat being a bit hostile to me. One day i was giving it more 'discipline' it bit my hand hard, it looked like it was mauled. This pissed me off greatly and i lost my cool, beating up the cat and pouring boiling water on it. It was then kicked out of the house. The cat still lingered around our house, and when i saw the burn wounds, i felt guilty and pity towards the cat. I took it in again, so it can recover. I gave it one of our bathrooms so no one will bother it. He was recovering fine, but one day i was cleaning the bathroom so i had to take it outside, when i was trying to bring it back, it scratched me hard. This made me snap again, and I tortured the cat for what it did, thinking of the past when it bit me and how much it cost me for shots and treating my mauled hand. I became horrible to the cat, I sprayed soap on his eyes. Spray him all over with water because i know he hates it, hitting it, kicking it, force feeding it whisky. The worst thing i did, is drowned it to its brink and let it out to live. I had no intention of killing the cat, but i read that alcohol is very toxic to cats, and it became very sick afterwards vomitting and not eating for a few days. It died eventually, and now I feel so guilty, I want to be punished.
