Car Dealers

Have you ever bought a new car? Anyone can buy a used car, but to own a brand new car is special. A car no one else has driven, other than a test drive here and there. Ahhh, the new car smell. My wife and I recently purchased a new car, our third, and the next day discovered a large dent on the passenger side. We drove the car straight home after the purchase parking the new member of our family in our driveway. The next day in plain daylight, it was dusk when we finished the paperwork and the car was parked very close on the passenger side to a brick wall, we discovered the dent. The dent looks as if it were made from another car lightly brushing the end of the rear passenger door with a bumper. Of course we took the car back and complained about the dent. The dealership, Toyota of Carlsbad California, basically called my wife and I liars and refused to help us. The salesman that was so polite and helpful the day before even turned his back on us and said he inspected the car himself. How could that be possible when he was too busy with other clients while we were waiting patiently for his return with the paperwork. We even had to wait almost 30 minutes after the paperwork was done because someone else was test driving the car we had just purchased. Of course we hate car dealerships now and will be very careful on our next purchase. You expect a new car to be in perfect shape so tend not to inspect as thoroughly. I personally would have prefered to purchase a used car. At least I know to inspect a used car with a fine tooth comb.
