Car dealer

We bought a used car from Low Price Auto Sales, Inc in Miami Florida. We put $2600.00 as downpayment and signed the contract to pay it off within 90 days, interest-free. We purchaed the car on 10/15/2006 and transfer the insurance from our old car to this one on the following day. Nine days later, this company repossesed our car at 11:00pm at night without any warning. Next morning when we contacted the dealer, they claimed that the car was repossed because we did not insured it. We explained to them on the phone that we had insured the car 'full coverage' within 24 hours. They claimed that they had sent a certified letter and a letter that was sent by regular mail requesting to submit proof of insurance ASAP or repossesion. We advised them that we never, ever received any letter from their company. They guy we talked to claimed he had a 'signed' receipt that we had received the letter and that now, they were keeping the car and the money!. They said that if we wanted to get the car back, we would need to pay it off in full. When we told the guy that accordign to State Law of Florida, we had 30 days to transfer the insurance to the new car (we actually did that within 24 hours). This guy told us that the information was not true and hanged up the phone! We immediately called the police and went to the dealer and showed them proof of insurance, and a copy of the State Law (we got it from the dmv website). They said they would return the car to us by 11pm tonight. I hope they do, and hopefully, once we finish paying off the car, we get the title for it. This definitely sounds like fraud.
