I'd like to write about my fascination with cannabis. The attraction is clearly chemical. My first experience with marijuana was poor quality bagweed in 1972 as a 14 year old teenager. I was immediately fascinated and further intrigued by the high quality cannabis I quickly discovered and pursued. My cannabis experiences varied while raising children, but now as an older adult I remain committed to the full legalization of cannabis and I intent to cultivate small personal consumption quantities of very high quality marijuana as long as I remain capable of growing my own supply. I live in Washington State, which has legalized up to 1 ounce of dried cannabis for recreational purposes for adults 21 and over. So it's legal and I have no legal mechanism to buy it. I can possess up to a dried ounce of bud, but I can't buy it and I can't grow it. FUCK that! I know how to grow weed. You better have a horticultural license for individual cannabis growers or you will have a problem with an illegal market. Set a reasonable non-commercial limit - individuals can legally grow and maintain 10 cannabis plants. Charge $500 per year for the license - I'll pay it and grow my own. Leave me the fuck alone with my own homegrown!
