Canada Post Using Courier Companies

I am sick and tired of our 'Crown Corporation' (a company funded by the public) that uses local courier delivery companies to do THEIR work for them. Their delivery performance is worse than Canada Post (hard to belive that is possible). Security is a joke. Last year at Christmas time the postal outlet closest to me (yes, that is privatized too) had parcels from the floor to the ceiling because the courier company that Canada Post contracted for our area couldn't even bother to make an initial attempt to deliver the parcels to the receiver. Instead that courier company would just dump all the parcels they were supposed to deliver to the postal outlet instead, resulting in a delay to the person receiving the parcels by 5-10 days. 90% of these items were out in the open of a waiting area since there was another separate business being run in the same area. Why was this courier company doing this? Because Canada Post was going to cancel their contract for the lousy service they had been giving. (Gee, I guess it would have been too much trouble for Canada Post to cancel their contract when they weren't doing their job in the first place)
