Canada Fishing

Six friends just returned from a fishing trip to Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada. They have been making this trip for 12 years and after this year's events, will probably never step foot in Canada again. They rented a cabin on Lake Mississippi for a week. The bluegill fishing is great! Well, this year a resident of the association complained to their landlord about the fish 'smell' and inquired about where they would be dumping the remains of the fish. The resident requested that they deep six the guts or take it to the dump. The landlord replied with 'They will dump them in the dumpster, same as last year, but the man was not satisfied with her answer. My friends had already taken this into consideration and brought lime with them to put on the fish waste to help reduce the odor. On friday, the last day of their vacation, a conservation officer unexpectedly shows up at the cabin and CONFISCATES all 1000-1200 fish, caught, cleaned, bagged and frozen for the trip home. Apparently the pan fish were incorrectly bagged. We froze approximately 20 filets (all panfish)per bag with water in them and the fish were unidentifiable. Needless to say, we were all downright disappointed and angry. They have always had a wonderful time and spent lots of money while visiting your country for the week. They don't cause trouble and have always left their campsite/cabin in good, clean shape. They did not deserve having the conservation officer sicked on them. They honestly did not realize they were incorrectly packaging the fish. One resident soured our vacation and has cost Carleton Place tourism. Trust me, the word will travel fast here in Michigan, where your country has no trouble dumping it's trash.
