can not run

So I'm in the army, am part of the signal corp, I've passed all my training courses but there is just one problem, I can't run. I failed my last pt test, and I'm stuck here on this base until I can run faster than a 15:54 2 miles. The rest of my test was great, 62 push ups and 70 sit ups in two minutes. I feel so ashamed and disappointed in myself, I know I can do it because i've done it before but I just feel so down about it, the fact that I could home with girlfriend and family doesn't help either. (I'm one sad soldier, but hey embrace the suck) and before anyone tries to give me running advice don't worry my 1st sergeant is working with me so I can pass my next test.

If you can not run then you must be try to walk.

uhmm,,, I ran the 2 miles in 12:30 back in 97 when I was in the 82nd Airborne. You need to get yourself climatized first & learn to expand your lungs. Your body will remember each time you push yourself harder.
