Cadilac Lemon

Purchased a Cadilac Catera in 2003 for 17k, which had an exended warrenty of two years or 50k miles. The milage was 30 something at time of purchase. The vehicle had reoccurring problems with the malfunction lights appearing and I would take it in to the dealer for repair. In 2005 I considered trading the car in for another model cadillac and ws given a trade-in value on my car of 4k. Considering what I had paid 17k two years earlier, I was not thrilled. I was told by the salesman that the low trade-in value was because it was a Catera and they did not have a good reputation and had a history of major problems after 50k miles. Well, he was right, my car has 53k miles and I just got a bill for 2k to repair the main computor and was told, when I complained about the quality of cadillacs, that it wasn't a cadillac problem, just the catera. Well, my catera has a cadillac emblem and I feel I was sold this car without knowledge of it's reputation. This should have been discolsed, and I would like to get involved in a class action suit against cadillac.
