How do you get companies like this to refund deposits without resorting to Trading Standards? They cant deliver the goods ordered because their products are standard kits available in any DIY store for a fraction of the price they want, and then they withold deposits paid in good faith. Then the fobbing off starts, they're all in meetings, there isn't a manager to sign the cheques, the usual platitudes. I feel strongly its because I'm a woman this is happening. (They were most anxious to deal with a husband or partner rather than me, even though I earn my own money and was paying for it myself)
