on halloween of last year, i asked out my crush of several months. if i'm being honest, i'm kind of a loser. it took me forever to ask her out because really!! i didn't know if she even liked me as a FRIEND for real. (that may have been partially because of my anxiety and self esteem issues, but we'll get to that later) it was a little awkward because i tried to send her a textual rose over skype right before i did it and the formatting got all fucked up. she said she liked me too when i told her and that made me so happy i can't even begin to put it into words. we've been dating since then and I think it's going great. we fight sometimes, but it gets resolved because we do our best to communicate. even so, she and i both have our own struggles. she has a lot of trouble talking about how she feels. she talks a lot about being a robot and deleting her feelings so she doesn't have to deal with them anymore. she doesn't like herself. i don't like myself, either, so i understand (except i don't, exactly, because how could someone so wonderful hate themselves?) and support her as best i can. she tries for me, too. she helps me through panic attacks and episodes of psychosis and nights when i just can't sleep at all. i love her a lot. so much. and i wish that i could be with her in person, instead of as text on a screen or a video, courtesy of my shitty webcam. it's going to be fine, though. even if we break up, things will be ok. i'm going to go across half of the country someday to see her, as long as she still wants me to.
