Back in December, 2005, I signed up through their website to sell them two cell phones for $12.00. I didn't get the phone sent in right a way. I had major surgery in January and wasn't able to get them sent in. In April, I received an email that actually contained their entire mailing list of email, stating that their rates have changed and that if the amount of the cell phone had increased, I would get the additional amount. I checked the website and the price did increase by $1.00 for each phone. I send in both phone around the end of March or April. I received a check in the mail for $12.00 and deposited it in my checking account. I didn't bother complaining about the shortage of $2.00. A couple of weeks later I was notified by my bank that the check did not clear their bank and that I was being charged $10.00. (May 11, 2006) I immediately called left a message and it wasn't returned. After numerous calls, I was able to speak to an associate of the company who wanted to give me a second check for the $10.00 and for me to redeposit the bad check. I told him I wanted a money order for $22.00 and once I received it, I would send them the bad check. I didn't want to risk the bouncing of two checks and get more service fees. The employee switched me over to a manager who insisted that I receive the $22.00 by paypal and then quickly gave my call back to the employee who now was insisting that I receive the funds by Paypal. I told him I don't want to receive the funds through paypal because paypal can be reversed. After much debating, the employee promised to send me a money order for $22.00. On June 9, 2006, I called Sellyourcell.com, I had not received the money order. My call was quickly given to the manager who said he forgot to send the money order and wanted to send me a check for the difference. I mentioned to him the email about getting $2.00 more and that I was shorted that amount in the original transaction. He said he would include the amount on a check for $12.00 that he will mail to me and that I could redeposit the bad $12.00 check. He said it would be a pain in his behind to send an employee to get a money order for $24.00 and it would be too costly in wages for him to do so. I told him that he could get a cheap money order from the post office and from Wal-Mart. He said that the post office picks up and delivers to their address and that they don't go to the post office. I also told him that he could get one through the bank, he said banks don't issue money orders, only cashier checks, I said then issue me one of those, I am not going to accept another check. This guy is being very belligerent and will not send me a money order for the $12.00 (for the cell phones), $10.00 (bank fee), and $2.00 (for the promised difference) a total of $24.00. He insists that I receive another check from him. I refuse to receive another check from this business, I want a money order. I have the charge slip and the bounced check in my possession and I can send you a copy of this information. Once I receive the money order from Sellyourcell.com for $24.00, I will send them the bad check.
