building water pump noise

I live above a water pump room in a 6 floor co-op building. My building installed a new water pump which turns on and shuts off whenever it is needed. It replaced the old water pump which stayed on constantly. The new one is claimed to be better because it turns on and shuts off automatically. The new water pump made a lot of loud noises before and the water pump company came and fixed it. Now the noise is not as strong as before but I can still hear it especially when it turns on, which it does that every minutes. What should I do?
