Bugs in Rattan Furniture

I bought two sets of 2 Rattan storage shelves from Argos in April, I happened to move on the other day to rearrange my bathroom and 100's of little bugs came running out, of cause I threw them out and now argos are saying that this nothing they can do as I don't have the full unit anymore... How stupid is that, i would have happily dumped them on their counter along with the bugs but you tell me who wouldn't have chucked them straight out in the bin?
