brother equipment failure

I purchased a brother MFC 3820cn more that 24 months ago. I now find that there is not enough voltage going to the print head because of a desigh defect that Brother has been aware of for a a few years. I am told it will be about $150.00 to repair and Brother never notified me of the problem which they were aware of in my 24 months of warranty so that I could and would have had it repaired. Brother now refuses to repair this DEFECT and I now have to decide whether to repair the equipment or purchase a new printer. Decision made I will never purchase another product from Brother and as I told them I will complain on this site and tell anyone looking to do business with Brother how they treated this loyal client!
