
Broken new fridge

I bought a New Amana fridge less than a year ago. It has been broken for over 5 weeks. The Maytag service people have been nothing but abusive. I have had to throw out 2 whole sets of groceries and a full freezer of food. I have had to stay out of work for 4 days from 7am - 6pm, waiting for a technician to come and fix this lemon of a machine. The Control board was replaced. It still does not work. Now he tells me it must be the heater in the freezer that's broken, not the control board. Last Wednesday the technician said he'd be back with the new part on Saturday morning to fix it. Saturday morning came and went. He did not show up wiht the new part. I waited around for nothing. I called the customer service number and they said they didn't have any record of someone coming to repair it on Saturday. In my frustration I asked to speak with a Supervisor. The Supervisor listened to my nightmare of being abused and of not being able to use the fridge for over 6 weeks now. Not to mention all the money I've lost on spoiled food I had to throw out. The Supervisor said she was sorry for the inconvenience but there is no way she would issue me a new refrigerator. I said I would get an attorney then to rectify this horrendous situation. She then hung up on me. What kind of Supervisor hangs up on a customer?! This is ludicrous...Amana is awful and I will not back down until I get a new refrigerator to replace this broken, lemon of a machine.
