broken collarbone

After an unfortunate motorcycle accident I was diagnosed with a broken collarbone, the duty doctor in princess alexandra hospital (Harlow) put a sling on my neck and arm and told to rest it for 6-8 weeks. After 3 weeks I was getting worried as there was no healing at all, went to whips cross hospital for second opinion, was told my collar bone will never heal as the break was too far apart and it needs a plate screwed to it. NHS and Student doctors?? 'God help us all!!
