Broke up a marriage

I fell in love with a co-worker during a year-long affair. He made it clear he was not going to leave his wife or anything, just wanted the fun. It became more than that to me so I was destroyed when he cut it off. He had had physical flings before me during his marriage. Haven't had any communication with him in over a year. Heart still broken so I emailed anonymous info to his wife a few times. The last time she said not to send her anything else - they had already separated and she didn't want to know anymore. I'm still securely married.

An open marriage? Sounds good in the fantasy world of swingers clubs but in reality goes over about as well as a turn in a punch bowl.

It isn't natural for humans to be unselfish or responsible.

All this could have been avoided if he had an open marriage with his wife, i dont think humans are monogamous by nature so a problem like this is fixable.
