We bought a new DR Horton home in the Haynes Creek subdivison in Loganville, Georgia. We have been living in the home for approximately 2 months and have yet to enjoy it. DR Horton, once they have taken your money at closing does not care about your complaints about things that should have been done, that were not done and things you find out about by living in the home. We have complained with very slow response from their sales office and their workers. We are constantly being told that warranty will take care of it, but to no avail. For instance, there was a missing telephone jack in the loft. The subcontractor who had installed the jacks came by and rectified the situation. He had to cut some holes in the dry wall. He told us to call the builder and have him repair the wall and build the subcontractor. It's been approximately a month and the holes are still there. Our plan based on the model we purchased called for wainscoating throughout the foyer and formal dining area. Guess what? We were short changed. It is quite apparent that customer satisfaction is not important once they receive your money. I would suggest to anyone purchasing a home to get a copy of the plan before closing and go through it with a fine tooth comb. Builders don't care about you.
