You can say the same for whites in position of power who are just given positions based on race. The only difference is that these positions are given by family and/or close friends. There's always two sides of a coin. There are several managerial and high-end positions given to idiots only because they are family or like family. Affirmative action is just a way of keeping the playing field even. It doesn't only apply to african americans either; it applies to all races.

Here in Chicago, there was a story just last week about how "not enough" of the new firefighters were black. So, rather than take the top candidates, the city is going to take percentages of the top white, Hispanic, and black candidates. The result of which is lower standards for black firefighters. The same is true for the magnet schools here. If they go strictly by test scores, there would be hardly any blacks in the best schools. So they create special "tiers", which follow mostly along racial lines, and choose the top candidates from each "tier". The result: black students who score way below white students still jumping over them on the admission role. According to the HR rep at the company I work for, they are instructed to actively seek out minority candidates, and to give them preferential treatment when it comes to job placement. Like I said, I know not all blacks got their jobs through Affirmative Action programs. But these programs do lesson the accomplishments of those that didn't use the programs. And they create resentment from everyone else, not just whites.

I have never worked with any blacks that have gotten their job through affirmative action or any other reason except that they were the right person for the job. Got any real stats to back of your racism? Or just a hateful coward I'm going to assume
