I purchased a 2005 Lincoln Town Car with approximately 5800 miles on it from Bill Currie Ford in Tampa on 8/28/06. As I was going over the paperwork in the glove box that evening, I discovered that the tires on the car were manufactured in 2003 and they were also the wrong size. I contacted the salesman, Bob Shaw, the next day and asked why a one year old car was sold with three year old incorrectly sized tires and he said 'the car's yours.' I asked if some sort of compensation could be made such as installing the proper tires or could we just return the car and get our money back and he said the dealership owner would have to make that decision. I still hadn't heard back from the owner as of this morning, so I called the dealership and was told the owner was unwilling to make any restitution. I'd just like to have the tires that came with the car (only one year old, only 5800 miles on them, and the correct size). Please advise. Thank you.
