being kept on hold on the phone

i have been trying to talk with easyjet airlines since the end of july reguarding a refund of tickets.our flights were cancelled during the july bomb scare.I have phoned easyjet on many many occasions at 10p per minute only to be put on hold these calls have lasted for over an hour on several occasions.Please can you tell me how to talk with easyjet?
