Banfield Pet Hospital #1361, Elk Grove, Ca. Took my 8 mo. old puppy in for a routine physical/ as per 'Wellness Plan' in addition to check up I asked to check his skin and his EYE'S for occasional sleepers/goobers. I askedhow I should write that down? He went in fine/ came out hrs. later with a left eye injury! Red, swollen, extremly painful and closed! The story changed at least 3 times! The person that called me, to let me know that he was done, but they had to do an additional test to his eye, I asked why, she said that sometimes they can get stressed out and injure there eye, etc. They wouldnt let me talk to that same person again! Everyone was told at this point to lie and say, he was brought in that way! I had to hold him still during the weigh in, His eye's were fine! His final 'Examination paper shows, 'EYES, bright and clear' I made it clear to all the staff, that I am a disabled person, & my baby-puppy is licensed as an assistance/companion dog! First they refused to make copies of the ckeck in paper,then she didnt know where the record was, then the Vets took it to lunch ,then she couldnt bring him out so I could see him, I told that I wanted to go back and see him! Nicole said no, & she would call the police,& have me arrested! But two other, non Banfield employee's were able to go back and see him! I was so confused, extremly upset, I couldnt hardly walk from shaking and crying!Dr. McCain, was coaching Nicole by phone when I was there! I pleaded with a PetSmart Supervisors to help me, they did have me sit down, because I was visably shaking and crying from being so upset! My head was hurting so bad, I felt sick! They are limited as what they could do, since PetSmart isnt connected with Banfield, even though they are inside there stores!The supervisors gave me Banfields Corporation Number! Dr. McCain-which shouldnt even be involved with animals, only said over and over again-He came in that way!! Leaning over the examination table, staring at me, she was so, unprofessional,dishonest,manipulative,deceptive, she is very good at intimidating people! She saw how distraught I was over the injury of my baby, she never once looked down at him at all! She said that she refuses to see and or treat both of our dogs every again! 'Both are on the 'Wellness Plan' Her final words were 'I will get my money'! Dont buy into there 'Wellness Plan', you really wont save money, after they over charge you for everything else, etc.!Look online and read some of the horror stories related to Banfield Pet Hospitals, through out the United States!! Banfield GUARANTEE'S your pet wont be dropped, for any REASON, 'as long as you maintain your membership' We didnt stop paying on the Wellness plan until the month after Dr. McCain refused service! Banfield broke the contract,not us! But is about to send us to collections! I put warm compresses on my babies eye, and watched him all night! I flushed his eye with a warm saline solution, and all is well now! Thank GOD..... sorry for the spelling,& mistakes
