They say a fool and money are easily parted. Hands up I confess. Having paid £400 quid up front as a deposit on a wedding dress, which my mother subsequently hated, I tried to rectify the situation by asking for a refund on my deposit or alternative goods from this shop. I have no legal redress as paying a deposit up front constitutes a contract. The Shop Manager has reacted in an unhelpful and at times irrational and hysterical manner - citing of only 2 instances when deposits were refunded by the shop 1 was because the potential groom had died! She may have considered alternative goods but because I asked for this to be confirmed in writing I was told I had an 'attitude' and was being aggressive. There was no arguing with this type of person... I hope they enjoy their £400 quid but as far as I am concerned when asked this shop will definitely get the thumbs down.
